HygieneSeal is a high modulus, single-component, moisture-curing adhesive and sealant based on advanced Hy-Spec Hybrid Polymer Technology. Designed with ligature-resistant and anti-pick properties, it delivers a tough, permanently elastic seal with outstanding bond strength and movement accommodation.

Enhanced with BioCote antimicrobial technology, HygieneSeal creates a surface on which bacteria and microbes cannot survive, helping to maintain a hygienic finish for the lifetime of the product. Unlike traditional fungicidal additives that degrade over time, BioCote is proven to provide long-term antimicrobial protection, reducing bacteria and microbes by up to 99.99% (based on MOD ISO 22196:2011 testing). Ideal for areas where visual appearance and hygiene must be maintained over the long term.

The neutral cure system is free from isocyanates and silicones, ensuring non-staining, odour-free and bubble-free curing.

Once cured, the sealant offers excellent resistance to water, salt water, grease, oils, fuels, defrosting liquids, detergents, aliphatic fats, mildew, weak acids and alkalis. It also provides excellent UV resistance and ageing performance, with a predicted service life of 20+ years.

Application

HygieneSeal is suitable for internal and external use. Before application, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and contaminants. It provides excellent unprimed adhesion to glass and glazed surfaces, PVC-U, coated metals, brickwork, coated timber, polycarbonate and a wide range of other substrates including concrete, tiles, steel, aluminium, zinc, copper, brass, stainless steel and polyester.

For joints up to 10mm wide, a minimum joint depth of 5mm is recommended. For joints wider than 10mm, the joint depth should be at least half the joint width.

The product can be painted, although prior compatibility testing is recommended.
